GuestLogix Signs Multi-Year Renewal with Sun Country

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Feb 3, 2016) - GuestLogix Inc. (TSX:GXI), the leading global provider of ancillary-focused merchandising, payment and business intelligence technology to airlines and the passenger travel industry, today announced a 3+ year renewal agreement with Sun Country Airlines to continue supporting the US-based carrier's inflight food and beverage retailing. Under the terms of the agreement, GuestLogix will also replace the carrier's traditional P.O.S. handheld devices with its next-generation iOS-version retail platform and payment peripherals for use with the iPhone 6 Plus. This fleet-wide technology refresh will also be accompanied by continued deployment of the Company's Global Payment Gateway to provide added fraud management capabilities. This signing demonstrates GuestLogix' commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction, and protects the Company's footprint in the Americas. "GuestLogix is focused on the continuous development of innovative retail solutions that will meet the needs of our customers and the global passenger travel industry today and into the future," said John Gillberry, Chief Executive Officer, GuestLogix. "By transitioning to our next-generation mobile point-of-sale solution, Sun Country will not only continue to leverage the industry's most secure retail and payment solutions on the market, but ensures continued crew efficiency and focus on customer service excellence. We look forward to continuing to serve Sun Country's retailing needs as well as to earning its ongoing trust, so the airline can remain focused on providing a memorable and pleasant experience to its passengers." Sun Country Airlines, operating in the United States since the early 1980s, currently serves 35 destinations, mainly from its hub at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport. The carrier first became a customer of GuestLogix in 2012 when the airline opted to implement the Company's handheld P.O.S. technology and retail platform to manage the acceptance of credit cards for onboard retail purchases. "Operating in a quickly changing landscape means looking to the future and assessing technologies that will support our evolving initiatives and customer service standards," said Eric Curry, VP - Sales and Customer Experience, Sun Country Airlines. "Enabling smooth, efficient, and secure payments for food and beverage retailing onboard our aircraft is the goal of our relationship with GuestLogix, and we have been pleased with the service we have received to date. We were happy to learn that GuestLogix offers the same level of payment security and flexibility via mobile retail platform and payment sleeve, and are excited to implement this advanced technology onboard." In addition to implementing GuestLogix' next-generation retail solutions, Sun Country will also be equipped with GuestLogix' Global Payment Gateway to further protect against payment fraudulence, benefitting both the airline and its passengers. Furthermore, with the introduction of consumer grade devices onboard, the airline is also presented with potential to leverage the devices for other uses in the future, including storage of digital flight manuals, training modules, and documenting various customer, aircraft and flight-related cases. "This agreement demonstrates GuestLogix' leadership position and commitment to providing excellent customer service to airlines who are looking to do the same for their passengers," said Dan Thompson, SVP Sales & Client Services, GuestLogix. "By renewing our agreement with Sun Country, we are able to deepen that relationship by deploying our newest iOS retail technology onboard their fleet of Boeing 737s. We look forward to continuing to support Sun Country's needs, and are delighted to continue as their onboard retailing solution provider." This renewal agreement with Sun Country Airlines represents approximately 2.3 million passenger trips per annum for GuestLogix.

Nice to see company running on all cylinders, clients extending PLUS increasing products and interested in more, and things working on a daily basis for the long run. New revenue coming in certainly can't hurt!
