I don't understand your point about Stacked fees. In this case, since Horizons is charging .65% on top of the .65-.8 charged by the underlying etfs, your are effectively being charged 1.5ish % for an ETF. This is insanely expensive for the convenience of not owning the ETFs individually and levergae.
HDIF is a much better deal - no overhead fee at the grouping level and management fees in the .8 range for the underlying ETFs. Yes, it has more tech exposure, but in the long run this is probably a good thing.
