HDIF

HDIF  looks like it is the same as HDIV with lower fees.  HDIV charges a fee on top of the fees of the etfs in the portfolio but HDIF is all harvest etfs so there is no fee charged on top of the etfs.

Which one is the better deal?

Personally, I would not pay attention to any (stacked) fees unless I was considering buying all of the underlying funds individually. To me what it comes down to is:  Do I like the components of the Fund?  Am I satisfied with the return based upon the risks of the components? While very similar, I prefer the gold and energy components of HDIV over the global brands. I'm hoping the ...more

I don't understand your point about Stacked fees.  In this case, since Horizons is charging .65% on top of the .65-.8 charged by the underlying etfs, your are effectively being charged 1.5ish % for an ETF.  This is insanely expensive for the convenience of not owning the ETFs individually and levergae. HDIF is a much better deal - no overhead fee at the grouping level and management ...more
