RE:What does anyone think of the dividend?

RE:What does anyone think of the dividend?Would note the following: * In 2014 the breakeven was in the mid 50s WTI. Today it's $42 WTI with a goal to reduce it further towards $38 by 23. * Prices dived to $29 and stayed low for quite a while due to the inaction of OPEC. This time i OPEC has learnt from the issues and looking to cut deep. * Shale producers grew and grew and grew. This time producers are tapped out with huge debt and not much to show for it in cashflow or profits. Coronavirus has definitely impacted global oil demand but I still believe that this will be short lived. Both the USA and Canada have cut rates. China has pumped more stimulus money to boost their economy. Pharma companies have been working overtime to develop a vaccine. I think the company is well aware that if they cut or suspend the dividend the stock will crater even further as pension funds will now have to dump their shares. If you listened or read the earnings transcript they have few levers to pull if oil continues to falter: retail sale and additional capex cuts. Don't forget 2021 is the infliction period when big capex spending will be largely behind them. At this price, the company can easily be solicited with hostile offers or be taken privately.
