Comment by Buckfinder on Apr 06, 2023 4:28pm
Yes extremly bullish for gold and i-80 much more
Comment by AlwaysLong683 on Apr 07, 2023 8:43am
Another option to consider: Being bullish on the price of gold by investing in actual bullion or a bullion ETF like CGL or CGL.C (TSX) and/or or GLD (NYSE Arca) which is a quick and easy way to benefit from a rise in the price of gold without the added risk of a mining company like IAU that is trying to squeeze more gold out of previously-mined brownfield projects and looks like it's going to ...more

I'd wait for a pullback but you're correct.....I80 is going to drill themselves broke this year, need to go to the market again, needs many tens of millions to even begin generating meaningful cash flow and it will take years to get to the potential many envision. Better IMHO to buy and hold Artemis or Skeena where in the case of Artemis the project is fully funded and under construction ...more

Isnt IAUX producing gold and increasing production?  So they have income to pay for drilling.  I personally avoid SKE but do like Artemis even though production is down the road...my Lion One is waking up finally and K92 is appealing to me...these are not recommendations in this overbought gold market ....you would think a reprieve is overdue and would be healthy but gold bull markets ...more

I like SKE but a little early yet to start accumulating. Will wait for financing. Artemis is a pass.  Never liked the project when New Gold owned it.  Same owners currently that sold Atlantic Gold. The big question is where is Atlantic Gold now? One of the biggest value destroying transactons ever for ST Barbara. You can thank Deutsche Bank investment advisors for that. Now being spun ...more

Agree with Angel SKE is wait for the cash to finace. Top three for me is small caps. I-80 Moz. Ske Moz has issues hedge funds with huge positions washing shares. Accumulate on lows. I-80 doing well. Buy on dips SKE financing to come..Watch ST Barbara - Atlantic, call in a priest,Minister or Rabi or finacial analyst.

Yes unfortunately ST. Barbara - Atlantic one of the biggest boondoggles in the Martimes both economically and environmentally.  Bring in the priest.

Artemis is fully funded and under construction now.  It has the second best feasibility study I've ever seen. The project is nothing like Atlantic Gold.  Almost all underground mines go belly up...Pure Gold, Klondex,  Wesdome in trouble etc...they are too costly and unpredictable.  The giant pit Artemis has is straight forward with none of those issues. It's NPV is 3 ...more

"Almost all underground mines go belly up".    That's a load of BS. You should be ashamed of posting such nonsense. You obviously don't know too much about mining. Last I looked here in Canada we had some of the most profitable lowest cost  mines being underground mines. AEM - Odyssey (Malartic) AEM - Macassa AEM-Laronde Newcrest- Brucejack Alamos - Island Gold ...more
Comment by metalhead666 on Apr 07, 2023 7:16pm
The feasibility study is NOT out of date. If anything it's materially BETTER!  Atlantic Gold produced 750 Million $...not Artemis fault at all after they sold it and made original investors 1000% returns....and NO reflection on them now or Blackwater whatsoever.  The point about underground mining stands...you can cite a handful of exceptional underground projects but the landscape ...more

"I know a lot about gold mining. I'll bet I've been doing this for longer than you've been alive"  Unfortunately quantity does not equate to quality much like your 10 posts a day.

Well son, Both of my accounts settled yesterday at new all time highs. The most money I've ever had. If you don't like the quantity or quality of my posts there's always the iggy button. I'll make you a bet.....$100....By year end ARTEMIS outperforms I80
Comment by Angelique01 on Apr 07, 2023 12:34pm
I would encourage people to own both the physical metal as well as gold stocks.  Historically during a gold bull market gold stocks have markedly outperformed both physical gold or gold etfs. In the last bull market the outperformance was over 2 to 1 in favor of gold stocks.

AlwaysLong, just love the way you bend your posts with a little negativity. So question, what's your short position on IAU ? As for Metalhead, why do you feel the need to tell everyone you're making money. You sound more like a person losing $$ and just trying to convince yourself it's the opposite. Yes been following your reports on your shorting the indices. Based on what you've ...more

No short position. Not invested in any of the companies mentioned in this thread (yet). Just telling it the way I see it. Interesting discussion.   My thoughts:   First, current market caps and total number of shares outstanding as an initial basis of comparison among the following companies:   ARTG:  Market Cap 895M    Shares 193M   IAU:   Market ...more

One other notable factor to add to the mix: IAU's costs are in USD. SKE, MOZ, ARTG's costs will be in CAD,  but each will sell their gold and silver in USD. The USD has traditionally been stronger than the CAD, so this will likely be a benefit to SKE, MOZ, ARTG that IAU will not have.
Comment by metalhead666 on Apr 08, 2023 11:15am
Excellent analysis!  I'll add....I really wanted to get behind MOZ but as you pointed out...management blew it...share structure blown out and raising funds as a penny stock is self defeating...I threw in the towel on this one The artemis warrants will bring in 30 million $ and are in "strong hands"  The financials are based on "fully diluted" shares which ...more

That's how I see it too.  When you consider who's closer to meaningful production, who will have the lowest AISC by a mile, who has a less technical row to hoe, who has the highest % of insider ownership, who is fully financed to production etc etc....and you couple that with a very high risk sector in a very high risk market in a very high risk economy....safety while trying to make ...more

Tinhead is a classic NPD with an overexaggerated sense of self worth who requires constant attention and admiration.  Ergo the constant posting and claims to making money.  Unfortunately nobody cares about his 1000 share buys and sells.  I have never seen a successful investor brag on a discussion board about making a couple of hundred dollars.  There is a saying: Those who ...more
