Another Failing Grade for AlwaysLong683

Another F for more drivel by AlwaysLong683.  Hard to imagine anyone being so clueless so am wondering if this obtuseness  is deliberate. Comes across as a naive academic. This is same guy who had to revise his post 3 times over the weekend to correct himself.

"I'm wrong again about BBB's total number of shares outstanding.
It's 381,000,000, not 381,000.
Time to stop posting - really out to lunch today re. accuracy in numbers presented"

I agree.  Out to lunch.

"I like Greenfield Projects. Though all new site infrastructure is needed, you are mining virgin land. If the Feasibility Study for the first project is impressive and future ounces may be added upon further exploration / gold and silver prices given the land has never been mined before, that's what I like to see in a gold mining company."

Reality is companies would prefer to have a competitive advantage by having brownfield infrastrucure already in place worth $1.5 billion that can be retrofitted for $70M and $250M.  With a greenstone project it woud take 10 years of permitting and effort plus a $1.5B price tag  to achieve what IAU currently has. And no guarantee they would be successful.

"Lots of money still needed to be spent on the numerous projects and seem to be a long way away from attaining sizeable increases in production of gold and/or other metal and mineral resources will occur:"

Once again no clue.  Just generalities with no understanding.  Ruby Hill floatation plant  can be up running in by 2026 generating $100M of annual cash flow for a minimum investment of $140M including mine development. That money in turn can then be used for the sequential development of Lone Tree facility costing $250M.
In the meantime there are secure processing agreements in place (1,000 tons per day of refractory ore at NGM autoclaves and 750 tons per day of double refractory ore at NGM roasters) to process ore from Granite Creek UG, McCoy Cove and Ruby HIll as they are being developed.  Additional sources of funding. 250k of production by 2026.

"ARTG:  Artemis
Appears to have all their ducks in a row re. their Blackwater Project:"
AISC 850 CAD per ounce"
Atlantic Gold is water under the bridge. The Blackwater project is what matters now."

As far as Artemis goes the 2021 FS operating assumptions are 2 years out of date.
Grade is king and LOM grade for Blackwater  is a measely  .75 g/t.
Artemis files Final Short Form Prospectus for $400M on March 23, 2023. I wonder why?

Atlantic Gold is the legacy of Artemis management so of course it matters.
Mines IMO  that are superior to Blackwater.    Alamos Island expansion,  Osisko's Windfall, Eskay Creek.

Artemis is on the sweet spot on the Lassonde Curve being close to production.  The advantage of IAU over Artemis is that it is has two sweet spots on the curve.  Development phase and Exploration phase.  Exploration upside and additional discoveries at Hilltop will provide catalysts for further price appreciation for IAU.
Regular news flow soon to resume with I-80 as well as share price aprreciation.

Artemis has 800 million CAN available without a single share more being added.  Way more than needed to complete "phase 1" Osisko has great grades and a lot of underground works but no financing at all  Island Gold....I owned it when it was Richmont....is an amazing mine but Alamos isn't cheap here Skeena beats them all if you go by the feasibility study but it's ...more

Then why do a short form prospectus for $400M if no need for financing. It looks to be additional dilution coming soon.
Comment by metalhead666 on Apr 11, 2023 5:06pm
I don't see that in any news release.  If it's so then I don't know why given that they currently have available 800 million and only need 650 million.  They've locked in prices for just about everything....equipment leases, contractors, the camp and early works are largely done already.  I'll never say never as I don't trust a single person in this business ...more

Short form base shelf prospectus for Artemis  issued in March 2023 for $400M has effective period of 25 months.  How can one invest in a company and not be aware of such a material fact? Guess they don't publish such info in Zerohedge or Creditbubble. Of course it comes with the usual risk warning highlighted in bold: Actual Capital Costs, Operating Costs and Expenditures ...more

Well fancy that!  Welcome to the world of mining!   I don't care about it to be honest.  The project is fully funded.  If this 400 mil is ever to be tapped it will more than likely be to advance directly into phase 2 and 500k ounce per year production status.  I'll take that.
Comment by Ork on Apr 11, 2023 10:04pm
lmao tinhead guess you havent a clue how to say thxs for the info that old head of yours will explode one day....BOOM
Comment by metalhead666 on Apr 11, 2023 5:13pm
The only reason I can see for raising an additional $400 million would be to go directly to phase 2. I don't think it would cost that much given it's incremental to phase 1 that they're building now.  If they did plan this then it could increase production to nearer 500k ounces per year as throughput would double and they would be capturing the higher grades from phase 1 500k ...more

"Then why do a short form prospectus for $400M if no need for financing. It looks to be additional dilution coming soon."   Angelique, maybe for the same reason the "self-funding" IAU issued its own $200M short-form prospectus on June 30, 2022, then later, an "amended and restated" $200M short-form prospectus on September 30, 2022 for the same 25 month period ...more

Suck it up buttercup. Is there an actual point you are trying to make or are you just babbling incoherently? Yes IAU filed a short term prospectus for $200M in 2022 which allowed them to issue $65M convertible debentures in 2023. So what!!   Artemis filed a $400M prospectus which means dilution will be happening over the next 25 months not necessarily for the full amount but certainly ...more

Academic naivety at its finest.  Everyone is aware of the convertible debenture isssue of $65M for IAU. Very few people are aware of the $400M prospectus for Artemis.  That is why I mentioned it. If you don't think dilution is coming  for Artemis you are dumber than you sound.
Comment by metalhead666 on Apr 12, 2023 8:20pm
You are insane. Artemis has a TOTAL of 870 MILLION available right now. The early works are done, the camp is built, the equipment lease is done and in alignment with the feasibility study, the engineering is done, the mill has been ordered  etc etc This is $200 MILLION more than the estimated cost to completion!  And you think they'll need to tap hundreds of millions more? You are ...more

"If you don't think dilution is coming  for Artemis you are dumber than you sound."  So now it's changed from dilution is coming "soon" to an open-ended some-point-in-the-future......? If so, agreed. I actually think it's highly likely that ARTG will raise more money to fund ongoing operations or expansion at some point in the future, and if " ...more

Angelique, speaking of not being very bright......   "No guarantee they will be successful"   I assume by "they" you mean ARTG? This coming from someone who likes a company (IAU) that hasn't even completed a Feasibility Study on any of their new projects. While there's no "guarantee" of success when investing in the common shares of any ...more

Alternatively, if you are referrring to Skeena's Eskay Creek project, see my previous post comparing IAU, SKE, MOZ, ARTG. Spoiler alert: I think you're wrong again, but we shall see....

Why are we discussing these companies on the IAU board???
Comment by metalhead666 on Apr 11, 2023 8:15pm
Because it can give you and others ideas, thoughts, concerns, opportunities, insight, knowledge etc about I80 and other mining stocks. You should be grateful
Comment by NineLives on Apr 12, 2023 12:54am
Lewdogg Artemis is being discussed on this board because someone here is trying to pump it, no other reason. Very few comments on its own board so they bring it here to IAU because they know IAU has superior coverage and a lot more readers and much better properties with huge blue sky potential. Artemis is moving from explorer to producer and those are usually the dog days for share valuations. No ...more
