This is undervalued IMO.  TVE EV for example is ~$3.3B.  IPCO EV is ~$1.5B (I could be wrong, do your own due dligence). When I compare Q1, TVE has almost double the gross profit (TVE is oilier, IPCO is gassier) But by the time I deduct the much higher interest costs and taxes, and adjust for sustaining capex ($6 maybe for IPCO vs at least $18 for TVE), I find that IPCO can generate more ...more

Very good analysis Pablo , As a long term investor , I have been first and foremost attracted by the huge quantity of Canadian heavy crude assets. Ipco has already demonstrated their ability to get these assets out of the ground and IMHO will continue to do so for at an increasing rate for a very long time. Old, ^ what you said. I can park this IPCO stock somewhere, not look at it for years and be quite certain it'll still be there and probably have generated a nice return. If you think about it, they have world class (heavy oil for better or for worse) E&P assets, world class financial management and they're under valued relative to their Canadian peers whose assets may or may not be as ...more
