Forget about an independent valuation of IPL; you are operating in dreamland. The company is going to be sold - just a question as to who will win. My expectation is the cash offer will be successful. In my view, the Board did a good job in getting the PPL deal and forcing Brookfield's hand but it's difficult to beat cash.
