Will TKO Be A Better Play Than IVN In 2024...?

TKO:

SP      $1.86

MC   $537M

Copper Focused with a mine in B.C. and two others in development in Arizona and B.C. (safe jurisdictions)

IVN:

SP    $12.85

MC  $16.3B

Not saying it is - just wondering re. relative value and how much more runway does IVN have to go re. share price appreciation / market cap....?

I guess it may come down to how things go with TKO's Florence copper mine project in Arizona.

Plus, there's no M23 rebels in either BC or AZ.....

If you think TKO and IVN are interchangeable,  You have an interesting understanding of risk... One is a fully financed world class mining operation in one of the hottest juristictions in the world, the other is a small cap miner with really one asset in a juristication that hates mining. Not saying TKO is a bad company, but they are in no way interchangeable investments... As for civil ...more

Cash, you are wasting your time trying ti explain this to a bozo who has no clue what IVN is or does, he probably thinks we make granola bars LOL. He started posting negative comments here to try p---- me off, but I know him to be an uneducayted small fry as you can tell by his comments here.  Best to ignore people with zero knowledge since they should go and play with things they understand  ...more

Some people don't want to get on this magical ride called Ivanhoe.  So far it's been fun.

OK, it's on: IVN Dec. 29, 2023 close @ 12.85 TKO Dec. 29, 2023 close @  1.86 Let's see what the two closing share prices are at the end of 2024. If Florence proceeds as planned in 2024, look out.   You may go 0 for 2 Potadvisor (TLG and IVN). We shall see.

Good luck with that you picked the strongest copper name last 2 years to go up against before that CS was and still gives IVN a run for tops at times. Oh last 2 years IVN +25% TKO -30% Interesting what happend in May 21 with TKO? they were tracking IVN very well but from that point on IVN +37% TKO -44%

I'm a huge fan of finding the strongest name in a sector like ATH in energy IVN in coppers and yes you need to look at the charts past to find that. It takes years for the leaders to fall to other names, like i said CS and CMMC were 1a and 1b for many years, IVN over the last 2 years has now taken the lead, locking in years of outperforming, cant touch this says the past ;)

IVN and TKO are both copper miners (with IVN also pursuing nickel, zinc, and PGMs). I thought the goal of investing in non-dividend paying mining stocks was to try and make as much money as possible via share price appreciation....? Cuba was great for U.S. businesses for decades until the peasants got fed up. The majority of DRC citizens still live in extreme poverty. Most didn't vote ...more

BTW, both Arizona (#7) and B.C. (#15) are far better districts for mining investment than the DRC (#55). Best and Worst Places for Mining Investment

Perfect, buy all the TKO you can. Margin if you can ! Enjoy your .26% head grade, your much higher and rising cash costs ( don't forget to pay your massive increases in Carbon Taxes coming on Diesel which is your highest marginal cost) , the fact there is pretty much no exploration or production upside at your one operating asset, and the fact you are producing almost no profit at 3.80 Cu ...more

I've owned both for a while (IVPAF since 2016 and TGB since 2020) and like the prospects of both. That being said, I think Ivanhoe will be leaving every other copper miner in their dust over the next 24 months. I think it's been quite a while, if ever, since a single mining company has had three tier-one projects and a major smelting facility coming on line in a single year. 2024 is going ...more

LOL HEHEHE, Perfect post cashtango, but I doubt that moron will get it. Loosers always have to find a hugely succesful company and since they don't own any shares, try knocking it, but as ALL can see in this case, it's cash 100% and the moron, 0. lol I couldn't have said it better myself. I haven't seen a post this ignorant about a company since Potadvisor's delusional ramblings a couple of weeks or so ago on the TLG BB.   1) The existing operating mine in B.C. (Gibraltar) is indeed low grade but also profitable and generates stable cash flow because it's also an extremely low cost mining operation.   2) Nonetheless, it's the Florence Project ...more

It may have escaped your attention, but this is the IVN Bullboard. Rather than polluting our space with petty competitions, or providing analyses of TKO, please provide comparable insights into IVN. For example, I would be deighted to hear your insights into the potential value of a discovery in the drilling program for the Mokopane feeder. I think the scale of the discovery and exploration areas ...more

LOL.  Reading is not your strong point.  My first paragraph states the very low head grade in BC and thus the rest of the paragraph is the same asset.  Cash costs are not extemely low, they are 2.20-2.30 vs IVN's ( 1.40 and rapidly falling with a smelter coming online and larger volumes).  Your costs are exposed to Canada's quickily ramping up Carbon taxes.  Its a ...more

cashtango, 1) Like I stated in my previous post, Gibraltar is just a source of cash flow for TKO to fund other projects, not the reason why one would want to invest in the company. Funny how you focus on environmental costs and cost per pound as being critical to a project when talking Gibraltar and other B.C. operations while ignoring what is expected to be the crown jewel of TKG (Florence ...more

Out of respect for this board, and the fact most here have no interest in TKO ( myself included) I will end this thread.  I don't agree with your thought process of comparing a mining major that will be processing  over 14 Mtpa of 5 % copper, runs its own smelter, has a tier 1 zinc mine in operation in q2, and developing the massive Platreef, with a company that has one marginal ...more

100% Cobalt.  BC has to be one of the worst jurisdictions in the world to try to develop a resource in.  Look at the current TMX pipeline fiasco.  Canada could have been a world leader in LNG, but most of the original projects have been shelved and international partners moved on.  It's funny because TKO controls the Prosperity mine asset in central BC which is an absolute ...more

Glad you "spoke up". Exactly my thoughts. Canada, BC especially, most "asset rich, cash poor" country/region. Not gonna repeat what you said, but we couldn't possibly be in any better hands than RF. All the best to us in 2024-2025 and beyond...
