Pioneer 850,000 acres and 60 Billion dollars
The Permian basin is a maturing basin, and Pioneer as a company produced 700,000 boe/day.
Also, In the USA ithey are trying to stop the flaring, and capture and produce all the natural gas. This is quite a change in production practices and they have a lot of work to do on the methane/gas plant front.
Wembey/pipestone is very valuable because of the footprint of the play. Companies are now recognized the vaue of drilling wells that are 4800 meters in length (roughly 3 miles). However to drill these wells you need to have enough acerage. When you look at type curves they should incude the "well length" associated with the well curve profile.
120,000 acreage size, is 14 % the size of the Pioneer Permian Land base, and is Wembley pipestone capable of 100,000 boe a day (Maybe).
Clearly the purchase of Pioneer is not all Tier 1, unexploited acerage, but Kelts land has been proven on a resource basis and it is wide open to development.
What is really happening at Wembey, is that we are transitioning from resource definition to resource exploitation.
So expect long wells, bigger pads, and even better results from wembley.
Kelt is trading way to cheap.
IMHO

ConocoPhillips who acquired Inga/Fireweed from Kelt for a song in 2020 (sad), is ramping up their plans there big time which TO ME means Montney economics are approaching if not exceeding the Permian now and in the future. Bodes well for all.
