The US government will likely go down the road of digital currency but this will not include Bitcoin or other coinage. To some degree our society in North America has already transitioned to digital recognition but it wlll go much further than debit or credit transactions. Taxation and maintaining strength within the banking structure is critical to government control on the momentary system. Lose these two components and you will make the general population in a state of hysteria.
The venture of Bitcoin trying to establish a currency structure will increase the concern by government officials to bring on government restrictions sooner than later. There is an no saying - don't fight the Feds.
