Potential profitability of the 3% nickel deposits = HUGE!
Imagine if KRR drills out and discovers let's say 100,000 tonnes of fresh new nickel at Beta Hunt over the next 2 or 3 years?
With the new decline offering so much more ore ( gold and nickel) tonnage to be extracted from under Beta Hunt, we could have karora producing 5000-7000 tonnes of nickel per year starting in 2005 or 2006 ! A 100 k deposit of average 3% nickel could produce 7000 tonnes of nickel per year for almost 15 years..
If the average price per tonne is let's say 30,000$ @ AISC 10,000$/tonne , at 7000 tonnes of nickel we get 7000 x 20,000$ gross profit per tonne = $140 million US gross profit.. not too shabby..
But of course they have to find that nickel first and by all accounts it seems there is still a shipload of nickel at Beta Hunt yet to be discovered...

Farquhar, I see they knocked you back well below five hundred even though your getting good thumbs up. I suspect it may be some communist equalization plot built into their system. You are usually on topic and thorough on your posts so I don't see why they knock you back.

To test the theory people that read his posts and agree should thumbs up them. It would be interesting to see the results.

They only state the upvotes from the last 364 days, so any upvotes from over one year ago or older go off the board...They probably do this to keep us commenting on a regular basis as this creates more traffic for them and makes them money as more traffic = higher advertising rates...
