RE: RE: Anyone have any ideas? I think the problem is that there is too much oil being produced in the Bakken and not enough pipeline capacity to take it to the market. Oil production from Canada and the Northwestern states has been growing quickly these last few years due to the increase in multi-frac drilling. This oil is being sold at a discount to the WTI price which is also at a discount to the Brent Sea and world prices.
As usual the market will discount this condition assuming it will last forever.
