RE:Consumers not as happy as experts/ economists Different picture:  same poll had 49% of respondents believe the S&P 500 is down for the year and the same percentage believed unemployment is at 50 year high! I really don't known what barnyard animal these people are but they are dumber than a bag of hammers. You are right about one thing-- they don't watch the mainstream media --- I not sure they can read.

Big picture: The economy seems to be growing at a steady pace but inflation has been sticky. The Atlanta Fed estimates real GDP in the second quarter is running at a 3.5% annual rate. That’s up from a 1.6% rate in the first three months of the year.

Despite the growth data, according to a recent Harris Poll, 56% of Americans believe the U.S. is in a recession.  This is a puzzle for polling experts. Economists tend to think that Americans are still grappling with the higher level of prices left behind after the wave of inflation.
I am one who does not trust the govt numbers even a little bit.The have an agenda to keep the sheep brainwashed into believing everything is good. Unfortunately a lot of the sheep have brains enough to watch what is happening around them. Especially those who dont watch the mainstream media.
JMHO tho
