ISS Report on LIQ/PointNorth proxy fight
ISS is an independent and reputable organization. It is in nobody's pocket. It is therefore highly significant that it has supported Management's position over PointNorth's. It is my understanding that ISS views PointNorth's suggestions as unrealistic and that they fail to recognize the complexities of the real world. It pans the "just in time inventory" proposal as unworkable. It has made several suggestions re: speeding up store renovations, executive compensation (yay!!) and controling costs. These messages are coming loud and clear to senior management not just from ISS but also from us shareholders. ISS specificaly recommends voting the "White" proxy and suggests that PointNorth should get two seats on the board and no more.
There maybe hope yet for us.
