Chile - using mining as a tool for development

Chile - using mining as a tool for developmentThere is way too much nonsense on this thread - to end it let's talk about what mining has done for Chile as it is absolutely the best global example of what large scale mining can do to lift people out of poverty.

Fact the Chilean economy is the top economy in Latin America and it is now the second wealthiest Spanish speaking country in the world.

Fact mining mining contributes tens of billions of dollars in investment and taxes every year to the Chilean economy.

Fact mine workers are among the highest paid workers in Chile - agriculture and toruism are among the worst payors and only keep people poor.

The Chilean GDP in 1980 prior to large scale international mining investment was $US 2,500.00 per person today the GDP of Chile is $US 15,700.00 thanks to mining!!

Chile is also now a member of the OECD the first country in Latin America to do so!

They have the best public care in Latin America, best social programs and some of the best infrastructure in the Americas.

So stop trying to keep poverty with all your non-sense rants based on fake news science and start praying for this project as it is one of the few opporuntiites that Armenia has in eradicating poverty....
