RE:Will this company do well regardless of Cdn real estate mkt I don't have useful numbers or insight to give, but I'm not worried about them or the dividend in this environment.
They survived some change or regulation periods that affected how many people could get in the market in at the low end, these new regulations seem to be aimed at loosing people in the high end and bringing house prices into ranges that the low end can get into safely.
I think we need to see data on how things actually turn out as I have no faith in government regulations as they tend to have unintended consequences, but I don't see MKP themselves having a problem during this period, but the investor community may drive the shareprice lower as has happened in most others in the sector since the announcement.
I personally am not waivering in my holdings in MKP, BRE (might actually add) and FC (I have an exit number, but I've had it since the new year so recents events unchanged my opinion)
