Canada benefits enormously from immigration in broad terms.
I certainly agree that the millionaire class immigration scheme destroyed housing prices in Vancouver and Toronto which then spread to other cities. That was a CONSERVATIVE plan and did not come from the Libs.
People going to the US for extreme kinds of health care because they do not care to wait in a queue is a good thing, not a bad thing. It reduces the queue in Canada. We cannot have the capacity to serve everyone right away when they want it. We have one of the better health care systems in the world.
It would not surprise me that teacher shortages may arise in some locations, but that is what university programs for teachers can address.
Public debt is a good thing when spent on important priorities like keeping people going in a pandemic. One major reason we have government is to make investments collectively that we could not make individually. Public debt that grows slower than the GDP is not a problem for the economy.
Yes the middle class is squeezed but the conservatives are certainly not the solution to that problem.
Canada's debt to GDP ratio is relatively low and the envey of most western democracies.
