Question about public shares being bought

Question about public shares being boughtIf a buyout ensues, do the shares that the market makers possess (not possessed) have any value or do they get canceled out once the buyout transaction is complete? I sometimes wonder if the purpose of tanking a share price (at this point in time) is to allow marketmakers to accumulate cheaper shares so as to reduce how much money is paid out to the public portion of the ownership spread. I'm not sure how this works but if anyone has knowledge of this, I will be forever be grateful <3

Today's tanking made no sense (to me at least) at a time when copper is hovering around $4.50 USD / lb. I can't for the life of me figure out how strangely this ticker moves and grooves downward or flat - but happy to know some here are enjoying the show - thanks in advance for any info.

OHHHH DID YOU SEE THAT RHYME IN THE LAST LINE????!!!!!
