Energy Storage

Energy StorageEager to see how Northland is progressing with energy storage systems. From their website--

Going beyond energy generation to energy preservation through storage, adding stability and resilience to the grid and boosting energy independence and resilience in global communities.

Regions we’re exploring:

  • Ontario
  • Alberta
  • New York State

Projects we're actively working on:

  • Marmora, Ontario
-------------------------------
Other news of the day: TC Energy building solar in Alberta.

The hybrid solar generation facility will be combined with flow battery energy storage technology that proponents hope will demonstrate the practicality of renewable generation and the viability of long duration battery storage in Alberta.

12-16 hour capacity for flow batteries will accommodate solar/wind hybrid systems. Can have 80% renewables on the grid with a 12 hour capacity.
