RE:HUGE POTENTIAL IN 2018 - NPK & MBII for cannabis+organicsThe combination of Verde Agritech NPK and Marrone Bio Innovations MBII is THE game changer for the agrochemical and pesticide industries that is finally heralding the advent of the holy grail of farming - large scale organic farming at a reasonable cost.
2018 is the year that Verde starts real production with 100,000 tons of Supergreensand and threatens the pre-eminence of the fertilizer cartel, certainly, at least, in the very large Brazilian market and the growing cannabis industry in North America. Verde is THE lowest cost producer with the added advantage of being the home team which should also conceivably attract strong government support. And we're not even dicussing the potential of their other products.
2018 is also the year that Marrone (the only pure play biopesticide company), having successfully completed in 2017 its field trials for Brasil, gets the green light to start sales in that massive market. All their products are approved for organic farming. It is also about to file imminently with the EPA for its MBI-014 bioherbicide that has been dubbed a Roundup (glyphosate) killer, and, if successful, we can all imagine what that means.
It is worth noting that Marrone's fastest growing sales in North America are to the cannabis market.
Rather than trying to pick the winners in the crowded cannabis and organic spaces I have opted for a picks & shovels approach with NPK and MBII. I believe that, with their multibillion adressable markets and game changing products, both thave the potential to provide spectacular returns from these very low levels for a very very long time IMO.
Both companies have been around for some years and have gone through some very difficult times in the past from which they have now finally emerged much stronger. It almost looks like they have followed a parallel path over the past few years and they certainly complement each other as if they are two sides of the same coin. It would therefore not be surprising to me to see them both fulfilling their huge potential in 2018.
