RE:What is the purpose of downgrading before earnings?

RE:What is the purpose of downgrading before earnings?I have owned this when it was POT since 2005. I averaged down a couple times and after the Nutrien merger, I even bought more. Do I wish I had of sold above $140? Of course. But today, I finally sold it. My average price is around $67.
I just had a bad feeling about the upcoming numbers and did not want to ride it down into the 80-90 range. If it does, I would buy it again because I like the company and what the future holds for it.
