This could be set off against Osisko capital gains.

Notwithstanding this, $1m is petty cash to KL and would seem to be short sighted to piecemail sell off a strategic block of shares in Novo.

Moreover, if KL wished to exit NVO, then they could have offered their substantial share block to Sumitomo.

As I said before, the way this went down is that Tony called Q and said kl wanted to divest and asked q to find a buyer for the block. Q was unable to do so having sent feelers out to any potentially interested party. Kl is now selling on the open market as a last resort, not by choice.

Btw, i have decided to write a book also about my apprenticeship days in the contracting business. A client was called every Friday for lunch at the local hole in the wall, an italian joint, wherein a good pasta a la gigI was had, followed by copious amounts of sambuca until 4 pm. Did you know that if the 3 beans stuck together that was a sign of good luck? A best of 21 was required to eliminate the margin of error. Thereafter we would head off to a different dive for supper joined by the wives. The closer the better so as to collide with the least number of parked cars as possible on the way. At the end of the evening, the wives would drive us home, 3 year contract extension in hand, then we would do it all again the next Friday.

The good old days. They would throw us in jail for that now.

I don't even think a phone call was even worth the time.

KL's cash posiiton as of September 30, 2020 totalled $848.5 million, a $311.1 million or 58% increase from $537.4 million at June 30, 2020

The selling of Novo shares over the last 3 months means nothing to KL.  If anything, the slow and incremental selling was likely done to minimize the impact to Novo share price.

The two companies are moving is separate directions, and with different priorities.

That's all IMO.
