Novo Resources Corp > THIS PUPPY IS SICK!

THIS PUPPY IS SICK!

I have certainly had some disappointments after 45 years of investing in this sector. Sometimes I have purchased for the wrong reasons, bought late, sold too soon, or held too long waiting for substantive changes that never came.

Looking at Novo's performance this year, I don't feel it is terminal, though the short-term prognosis isn't good based on recent behavior.  I'm here for the long term, so I will continue adding small amounts on new lows.  Meanwhile, some news would help.

In another observation, I see that the persistent basher writing for SeekingAlpha seems not to have written anything about Novo for about six months.  On the flip-side of that, we have not heard much about Novo from BM recently either.

Yes, it indeed looks like an orphan stock.  ...should have followed TX's veiled warning months ago.   Long term, it's all good IMO.

I bought back in this AM just out of curiosity having been out since about 2 bucks. There were very large buy orders at the open ... is this stock being gamed? Anyway, it's taken a litte bounce after the low of 1.56 and on Level II the asks are still looking thin. Funny: 3 orders totalling 1,000 shares and next on the list is 5 orders totalling 1,800 - not exactly high rollers. Strange action ...more

"Okie dokie. So lets discuss this. Why buy when they lose money, have mined the hg they know of, can expect a dump by Kl of 7.8 m shares, have no permit for fresh, are running out of oxides, and are having all sorts of issues on site, or so goes the rumour? Dont get me wrong, Im not encouraging you to sell, just wondering on why anyone would buy when there are many other interesting stocks ...more

It is interesting to see one describe stock investments as a hobby.  Most people would view things done for pleasure without regard to economic gain (or loss) as hobbies - fishing, stamp collecting, travel as examples. One would have to surmise that investing as a hobby means not caring for profit or loss.  Does that describe you? The IRS has similar views about hobbies until one has a ...more

"One would have to surmise that investing as a hobby means not caring for profit or loss.  Does that describe you?" Yes. I don't care. A profit is more fun than a loss, but it's just playing- around money. "The IRS has similar views about hobbies until one has a taxable gain or claims a loss." In a tax-free (i.e. deferred-tax) retirement trading account (with ...more

"Strange action today." It does not help that POG is off around twenty bucks from the open.  It is still green today.  But to my mind, the Fed and its friends are very worried, and they are working overtime to keep POG in check.  At some point, the market will run away from them.

All the other miners and explorers I hold were up today.  So, and as a contrarian, I had to add to Novo holdings.  It's dollar-cost averaging because I buy a little around this time of every month anyway.  While I am happier to buy more for less, it would be nice to get some reassurance from the market along the way.  Two-and-a-half years into this now.
