RE:RE:RE:Possible equity issue come at $9.60/share?The mother in law just got a 9% increase in her monthly fees bringing the total close to $6000/mo!
By law they can only increase the rent apparently by 2.5% so they get around that by boosting the fees on the unregulated extras by double digit percentage which gets them to the overall 9% monthly rate hike.
I don't believe many of these places have started to recover their occupancy rates to pre covid levels. Many are likely around 75% occupancy. Remember how many places lost +100 residents in less than a month due to covid?
Between how seniors were left to die and ever increasing costs to live in a home many that are able will likely opt to stay in their homes longer and have VON etc come in. Or where possible move in to an in law suite with one of their kids.
