I was just trying to point out that Tesla represents only 0.086% of the global auto market currently: (47,000x(12 months/7 months)) /93,500,000=0.00086. In other words, Tesla would have to sell 11.6 times as many cars as they do now to equal just 1% of total global auto sales. Yes, lithium does have other uses such as in cell phones but so does oil. The numbers aren't helping your argument. Lithium may or may not be a good investment but it's definitely not displacing oil demand any time soon.
