The Viking is a light oil, horizontal development play located in central Alberta. Its operations are focused in the Esther area. Peace River is a stable, cold-flow, base production asset. It operates on a contiguous and an acreage within the heart of the Peace River Oilsands region.

Those old and tired OBE reservoirs are what made it a good candidate as an income trust 20 or so years ago untill that ahole Harper stabed it in the back. Those reservoirs just keep going like a 70 year old energizer bunny. Yes their best years were in the 50's but with new horizontal well technoligy, the edges of thos old and tired reservoirs are giving them new life.
