Patience is needed with this stock

Earnings are around the corner, they have increased the production guidance. Oil is above $100.. all stars have lined up...all we have to do is nothing. Glta jmho

I think a person still has to watch the markets very varefully and more then do nothing.... USA and CHINA are likely in recessions...two largest energy consumers in the world. Biggest headwinds energy stocks face as demand is likely over estimated still for 2022. Let's be real...economies suck almost in every single country.

I wouldn't mind 3M hedges for these reasons but I think your calling it early. And our mcap is running at 8 years of $65 oil fcf. So no issue for me here and I'd double down during a recession.

USA GDP shrank at 1.1% annualized rate in Q1. While a recession is two quarters of shrinking GDP...not a good sign As interest rates are still so low in USA....future quarters are going to have interwst rate hikes on an already slowing economy. This war in Russia has boosted eveything but not a deman lead boom. Supply and sanction lead commodity increases is a tricky market.

Its not about GDP, its about employment. Employed people consume oil/gas. Low GDP has much to to do with reduced US domestic production because of restrictions on their supply chains.    Its not that they don't have consumers ready to buy.    They don't have the products available to sell.     Just drive past a new car lot to see what ...more

The USA Fed rate was taken from 1.75% to 0.25% during covid...... It is currently 0.5%.... Less money for consumers to buy gas and food when interst rates become somewhat more normal.

I can't speak for the USA but in Canada I expect too see a wave of small business closures by fall... never instant it takes time. property taxes are not going to go down with fuel prices hitting municipal governments. paving ashalpt will go up. not just oil and gas everything is going up too fast. 4litre of milk was 4.62 in dec and is 5.67 now....
