RE:Hey buddy, lend me a billion dollars to start a mineI guess you haven't done your homework then. Windfall is in Quebec, a mineral resource-friendly jurisdiction. Hydro power is cheap and plentiful, and Hydro-Quebec will be on-board to deliver it. That part of the province has all the contractors and service providers required to get on with the build. Building the mine will be relatively easy as it has been done many, many times previously in Quebec.
What I don't like is that existing shareholders will be subject to multiple dilutive financings going forward. It won't all be done with streams, gold loans etc. And, who knows what Au will be doing by the time they have their first pour. Sidelines is a good place to be, until you are on the right side of the Lassonde curve.

While they certainly have the goods, building a mine in that region will be a monumental task. Power to be brought in, roads to be upgraded, a big new mill to be built , permits to secure. While the grades are great, most of the gold is deep and expensive to mine. I worked in a deep mine and the ore had to be taken up 3 shafts to get it to surface . Anyway I will be watching from the sidelines, but goodluck to all still invested.
