iNTERESTINGLY LARGE BLOCK bID/ASK DICHOTOMY ON THE US SIDE. IS THIS SOME SORT OF TRADERS STRATEGY TO KEEP PRICE IN A RANGE?

filefish..... you seem to be follwing the story here. What is going on exactly? The public float is only valued at a few million dollars or so. I don't see the point why the main players here want to keep it public? Would they loose the tax pools if they took it private? Makes little sense to incur all these restructuring costs/fees for so little market participation?

Matt2018, those are valid questions and I dont have the answers. Obviously, the "big 3" shareholders have opted to keep PPR alive primarily because of potential monetization of their tax pools. However the Canada Rev. Agency is currently reviewing notable Industry mergers which have used these losses to offset income and their rulings may set precedent. I am hoping that PPR has a go ...more

Thanks filefish..... perhaps they will change the rulings on transferring these tax pools going forward but don't believe they can claw them back from companies that carry them presently as those were the rules when they acquired them. If these 'big 3" want to ever see a return on this investment, a plan will likely be announced soon. They want to get this right as the company has not ...more
