RE:RE:5000 degrees capable vs 1200 unachievedIt seems that some here are confusing temperature and energy!
For ex the max temperature of a tiny candle flame is around 1200C.
Temperature of a non transfered plasma arc can go above 20000C, but on a very small spot. Which by itself is a problem ( because it burns the electrodes, and such a high temp is useless for most process applications. The trick is to dilute this temp in an uniform way, without loosing too much energy and minimize the NOx formation.
Easier said than done, but not impossible.
