With Amazon getting behind the DME/Homecare and "age in place" pressure campaign things will change. The sector has long been lacking a meaningful lobbying effort. Amazon = lofty expectations & deep pockets.

You are the expert so you must know.

Oh yes, I'm very much fearing Amazon entering this arena.   The very same institution that can't deliver second rate medical grade children's masks to my front door within six weeks, still can't locate my package, and then lie to me about its so called 'progress' in transit.  Yes, bring it on and the result will be a stampede towards reliable domestic service ...more

If you are so unhappy ........ sell!!! If, like some suspect, don't own any to start with ...... take your bashing elsewhere.

Odinson...I am not entirely sure what Carlito intentions are... could he be shorting the stock?? Or, he may be sh-tting on the stock in order to pick up shares at a super low price?? Who knows?...but Carlito...

I think the US Congress believes that Amazon is already too big... they figure that because of it's size, Amazon will destroy all forms of fair competition...if anything, they want to reduce the size of the Amazon. Also, the health care industry will lobby heavily against Amazon's move into this sector.

Of course you can have it both ways! You can't treat a business differently just because one has larger margins than another. It has to do with reimburements for the same equipment and nothing to do with how successful or efficient a business is. Can you imagine if your employer decided to give your colleague a raise just because they lived in a smaller, older home and drove a junky car and ...more

Or the BS excuse of an employer who justifies a larger salary for workers with wives and kids than the salary for singles.  Same work deserves same pay. Burdening yourself with a wive and kids is your choice.
Comment by gibbonsj on Nov 05, 2021 12:47pm
If I valued an employee with a family it would only be good business to offer an income that meets their needs otherwise the valued employee has no choice but to pursue alternatives. If you're talking factory floor workers then offering a career path to accomplish that would also be wise. The "burden" you refer to are future tax payers who will help lighten the tax load so of course ...more

Appears posters on here entirely missed Carlito's point. Goes to show the intelligence level of some stockhouse posters.  Carlito's point "maybe that's a clue (Raise - IE extra money needed to be profitable) that the "margins (now) aren't real" once (until) you factor in rent expense and equipment replenishment costs and other capex.
