BuybacksI own a lot of the stock so it may be odd I'm negative. BUT Wilan should have been buying back the stock. Why? The strategic review really resulted in nothing other than "we are going to be more careful about buying patents, we are going to sell some patents, we are raising the dividend and we can buyback up to 100,000 shares per day." Maybe I'm oversimplifying and stand to be corrected - but that's what I got from it. So naturally looked to the company to step up and buy when others weren't. IF they were serious about liquidating some patents, it would stand to reason they would even have more cash than the oft quoted "was chest" needed for litigation. So again, they could have committed some to buying shares. I said at the time that the stock might not go up on good news as there is such pent up desire to get out (because of some legit frustrations) that every time they have any buying volume it is used by some to get out. SO - had they been doing buybacks of 100,000 per day back when the stock was $3.30 or so, they could have sopped up a lot of the shares that were looking to get out. But no - they are smarter than that. And so here we sit - still getting bits of good news and yet the stock gets hit by sellers. And - as has been mentioned - it would have sent a powerful message to the market if either insiders or the company were buying shares but NO - we're not seeing it. Maybe there have been some blackout periods but that's not why the company isn't buying. It's a decision they have made that it's not the best idea. I don't agree at all and sit here frustrated about what should be. M87
