Don't know if I like this or not. Long time waiting, and they end up choosing from within. Nobody on the outside was interested in QTRH, or nobody met the QTRH requirements, or they knew all the time who they were going to install - but just went thru the motions? He might be  great for the job, but I just can't buy that they couldn't find a top tier genius out there somewhere. I

You are correct I share same concern like you I wonder if there was no one interested from outside that was a better candidate. Let's face it if you are from outside and are top ceo you may not want to come to a company that does not have potential to earn over 1 billion dollars a year in revenue that is fair i would not blame them I hope we are wrong that they were desperate and had to hire

Your frustration is NOT warranted! If you were looking for a CEO  at your co. and a year in  looking/interviewing you have  realized that the talent within is far more than what you would get! How would any board install someone knowingly less valuable than the current "chuck"? My take anyways and just for your info I asked myself a while ago why isn't he take the

Socrates, my "guess" is that he was informally, and maybe formally, offered the job when Brett Kidd left.  He was reluctant to take it based on the well known baggage.  Rusty probably said, why don't you join the BoD and take 3 months to see what is here with QTRH and then make your decision. Myers checks the important boxes for me:   ITS experience;
