It's not as bad as you think...
Yeah, it is a lot worse. By Dec 26, we will be in code grey all across southern Ontario and the politicians are thinking and hinting that we need a TOTAL lockdown. The last lockdown in March was successful in containing the virus and do you guys remember how little traffic there was? Right now the roads are very busy, public transit is very busy. There is no real social distancing. IMO, those cheap masks don't work. Only medical grade masks work.
Now, there is tons of traffic because although we are suppose to be in a lockdown, there really isn't. Public Transit is packed. For sure the spread will accelerate and eventually the politicians will start a real total lockdown after Christmas. They are just giving businesses one last chance to make currency.
Sure, there are vaccines just starting to roll out, but these vaccine will do NOTHING for several months. Dose 1 supposedly gives a person 50% immunity. The second dose completes it after 21 days. The percentage of people getting both vaccines is small so don't expect herd immunity anytime soon.
Face it, we are scr ew ed for another year. The economy is sh i t and your only hope is if the stock market melts up in a mass of hyperinflation. Before that, the market will retest the lows and all REITS will go down. We should see a double bottom. Wait for it.
If you pumpers think we are going to plus $22 by 2021, you have wishful thinking only.
So far, Pfizer vaccine has caused 4 severe allergic reactions.
So far Moderna's has caused Bell's palsy in some.
And we don't know if these vaccines affect fertility.
We don't know if these vaccines protect from new strains evolving.
We are not sure how long immunity lasts.
We cannot give it to people 16 yo and younger and we don't know how safe it is in pregant women.
They skipped animal studies except for J & J. You guys are the animals. If the recovery rate is as high as what the CDC says, why even bother getting the vaccine? Good question!
Good luck to all. We are far from getting out of this pandemic. Risk ON big time.
