RVX-208 not only has beneficial effects on glucose, but also raises levels of functional HDL
and seems to have tremendous anti-inflammatory properties. Drugs that only control
glucose levels, but don't improve HDL or inflammation, are not going to elicit the
multifaceted beneficial properties of RVX-208. Many patients with poor glucose control are
insulin resistant, which itself involved a lot of inflammation.
The RVX team could have done a better job of highlighting why RVX-208 is different in the blog post.
Not sure if BDAZ posted this on SH but definitely worth a repeat.
Wishing everyone a great weekend.
