Which one is worth of news release filing or granting?

Seems that they missunderstand which one is worth of news releasing -  patent filing or patent granting? I prefer patent granting!

I cannot emphasise enough how important the CMR patent, granted last week, must be for SCY's business plan and discussions with FCX.   For me it's totally conceivable that Freeport's legal advisors have indicated not to sign the project LOI until after the patent had granted. Without that patent there would be no need for partnering with SCY and share profits. We're ...more

So, you agree it is material information. GP is playing a lot of games right now. And if I'm Freeport is might give me pause. Silly and secrets are so self protecting for the CEO to remain as such. What are we about here lets ask ourselves these things. What is the purpose of SCY? Secrets,a low share price on purpose, give me a break.

Yes Dutch these patents are important and could be a promoters dream! Management is either incompetent or is acting with complete disregard for its shareholders. The corporate presentation is now even less relevant. They still have 2 directors mentioned in the "strong team" section of their website even though one has since resigned and the other sadly has passed away. Management is ...more

A simple question. If there is value in these new patents then why is today's share price falling?
Comment by ScandiumPower on May 07, 2021 10:24am
People have lost their trust on the management besides the patents are valuable or not.
Comment by Trekewl on May 07, 2021 10:32am
there is value, but without proper communication, it's the same eyeballs watching this story: the same message boards junkies and JK subscribers. I hope there is a plan to sell this story soon. Or maybe we will just be taken out by a major a few multiples higher from here.

Totally agree Trekewl. Potential explanations, An entrenched CEO with a disengaged BOD. Leads to here. The one guy running everything has gone Kurtz on us. Now he must be saying something encouraging to the BOD to keep them at bay and disengaged. Or he’s totally Acting in his own self interest to stave off any chance of the BOD removing him as CEO at the AGM. As long as the share price is down ...more

Because these patents aren't proven economically viable and if any miner want to extract more byproducts they can go on their own. If the patents were that innovative you would hear it on the news. Miners already have technical team onsite to extract whatever they have, it is just a matter of cash cost.

Curious to know if the work leading to the recent patents was done in a lab or a pilot plant?  Assuming a lab, SCY will need to scale this up to a pilot plant. If it was a pilot plant, then it will need to scale it up to as part of the commercial production. Who knows what stage this is at? Its true that these patents need to be proven economically viable and depending on where they are in ...more

Arima, true to form I will give you that. As it happens RIO is struggling with the Sc alloy mix. Keeping it consistent. No business there if they can’t get that sorted out. All that money invested in producing and promoting Sc and Sc Alloys and all for not if they can’t sort out the mix. And without it being consistent it's not marketable. So the SCY patent (IF) properly used should provide ...more

Recovering Sc from their titanium waste stream has zero to do with making 2% master alloy ingots for Alcan furnace's. The end alloyed Aluminum needs to be consistent. Remember please vote against all proxy nominations.

LOL.! You think they can't figure out? On what basis? :) It seems that it does not matter for now. They already have a sizeable off-take. What about SCY?
Comment by teddygva on May 08, 2021 6:08am
There is no proof that SCY is in discussion with Freeport. If the patents were tested at lab or small pilot plant it would already been announced. Companies like Freeport don't sign with unproven tech. Has any of the patents been implemented and produced anything?
