Two Questions:

1) From what source are you getting your info on this sub 3.00% interest rate figure...?

2) When will either the BOC Rate or the FED Funds Rate drop all the way to 3% and further...?

I say not for a looooong time.

October 25: BOC Rate unchanged at 5.00%

BOC Governor Tiff Maclem:
"If inflationary pressures persist, we are prepared to raise our policy rate further to restore price stability".

November 1: Federal Funds Rate unchanged at 5.25% - 5.50%

FED not likely to cut interest rates anytime soon as goal remains inflation at 2%.

FED Chair Jerome Powell:
"We're not confident that we haven't, we're not confident that we have" reached that sufficiently restrictive plateau, Powell told reporters. "Inflation has been coming down, but it's still running well above our 2% target."

Something else to note:
The FED Chair and BOC Governor are only referring to what it will take for no more interest rate increases, not cuts to interest rates.
