Sofa

kind quiet here today . Where is Rabnud? Looking for some constructive opinion on yesterday's earnings. Losing my shirt as well on this one luckily switched the most of DIV shares to AD.UN and they had good earnings. So got some compensation.

I am not selling anything. I own about  19-20 dividend stocks and SRV.UN is one of them. Some I bought during the pandemic like SRV.UN some later and some recently. Since I have retired a year ago I need additional income to my pension. I still have 2200 shares collecting  $ 209 monthly. As of now still up 44% , down about $7000 since all time highs in mean in past 3 years collected ...more

SRV has been one of my best gainers and dividend winners. Earning over 20% on the distributions with a healthy 2-3x cap gain, It fluctuates but as discussed often here, this is tightly held and most are in for the monthly distributions. From your list, I also own DIV, SIA and BK. I am bullish on the banks. They have taken a beating since rates increased. While I don't expect rates to go ...more

Last year my entire portfolio was down as much as 20 % at one point. This year I have recovered all of it and as of now I am up about  -9 % to + 20 % over four accounts in mean time collecting dividends. So far so good can't complain. In my opinion interest rates won't go down any time soon. Inflation is still high plus stubborn crude oil prices also not going down helping to fuel ...more

Keep in mind also there is a huge pile of money sitting on the sidelines in safe GICs and money markets. Whether rates start dropping this summer or Fall, as they do a lot of that "safe" money is going to start looking for juicier returns and will have to flow back into equities agan driving up share prices even more.

yes if you in at like 8.00  I can see that but does not help 80+% who bought much higher  but in the last 2 years its been 13.50 and higher The estate held off selling for  a couple days and we saw a slight rebound now today falling like a rock off a cliff   there are too many much better reits etc out there paying higher than srv and much much easier to buy and sell ...more

If you believe the price drop is due to estate selling, isn't a good time to buy?

getting pounded bad again today  ;; dont buy this thing its real hard to buy and very hard to sell  but zwk or ap or btb etc way way bertter stocks and easy to buy and sell  plus its unpredictable not long ago it 17.500  NOTHING has changed and its down to 13.48  all because about 2-3K shares get sold each day and pretty sure its the insider that died and his estate is ...more

If you look back to the past decade and remove the covid years, $12 would be an excellent entry. Currently we are sitting at a 21 month low in part to some insider selling but also the last earnings did show an elevated payout ratio. Hopefully they can bring that back inline. The current distribution is 8.5% which is tempting as safe GIC/money market rates start to drop in the back half of the ...more
