RE:Total was a stick

RE:Total was a stickCall them "Frenchies" what you want, whether it's sticks in the mud, mama's boy, Don Juans or whatever else BUT they KNOW what the deal is, and when to get in AND when to get out! Though i must admit that those ferocious Viking warriors up North saw the signs long ago, beating them to the count and exiting the stage a lot sooner.

But to find an appropriate & accurate answer to the ultimate question you seek, you will require for the nice folks at Suncor HQ to be both more transparent & "divulge" more details regarding this deal THAN what they currently provided to the investing community. Apart from that, you can ONLY surmise or speculate on what Suncor possibly paid for each individual asset. But i'm fairly confident some VERY smart & knowedgeable folks, even on here, can come pretty close to the actual amounts Suncor dished out for each seperate entity. With some luck, time, and some "enouragement" (aka pressure) from the investing commuity, the good folks at Suncor might even release that info at some point in the future.....

But if you can wait for that to happen, maybe some rough & back of the enevolope math, could be sufficient to give some "ballPark" numbers in the interim......Of course, you would have to be pretty well versed in the industry & have some knowledge for that to be fruitful. But to start you off, you might want to assess what 50% of Surmont could be worth, in this environment & at current market prices. From there, you can deduce......A LOT....and you'll eventually get close to aswering your question.
