Hey thanks for your question. The Democrats can't set policy. So no change. North american energy will stay the same. Here's a question, do you think the divi will be higher than 5% when they reinstate it? How long do you think this will happen?

3.25% or 5% is an arbitrary number. Dividend yield is based on share price/market cap and moves inversely to share price. I mean, a dividend yield of 5% right now, using the current price would be: 25.84 x .05 = $1.29 annually or 0.32 quarterly, which is doable with current cash flow At the current $0.84/share annual dividend, they are basically paying out approx $1.3 billion If they did bump ...more

It seems that these days, noone can really get legislation passed in the US due to gridlock in congress/senate. Therefore, they basically just kick the can down the road. Only way things get done in washington, it seems is via executive order from the presidency. Basically that was the case with both of Bidens predecessors, Obama and Trump. The main problem with that is, it lacks the permanence ...more
