Brics vs G7

Look at whose GDP is growing the fastest . Coincidentally for the most part those who have the loosest  regulation of GHG s and other ESG measures. 

Now doesn't this explain the absolutely inanity of the G7 policies , in particular Canada ' s willingness to damage our own fossil fuel industry in favour of others

The USA has been the worlds economic power mainly because they made use of the biggist lever,  Cheapest energy. Fossil fuels provide the best energy densityt. We need more not less. We need to use our collective ingenuity and find ways to reduce the carbon output from these fuels. GLTA

Good point Franman The problem in Canada and the US and Europe is that Governments are interfering with the business ecosystem and trying to pick winners and losers which historically Governments are very bad at doing. The end result when one monkeys around with an ecosytem (natural or business) is that you just create problems elsewhere.  From an investment perspective, the key is to ...more

Yep....although most of the growth in BRICS is really India and China In terms of ESG, saw a clip a couple of days ago on Bloomberg where they were interviewing Giorgia Meloni the PM of Italy and she was commenting that international trade is a great thing as long as it is fair.  She went on to say that trade is currently not fair since many countries like China don't restrict their ...more
