RE:RE:US Debt Ceiling "Talks" Some ThoughtsOne thing I find very sad about the situation in the US is that the extremists on the left and the right are using their leverage to essentially control things. I have a lot of close friends in the US, some are Republicans and some are Democrats. In talking to them "at the kitchen table", I find that they are just left or right of centre. The current Government in the US doesn't represent any of them and that is really sad.
IMO the scaary thing about all this discord is not necessarily the debt ceiling "debate" but that this discord is opening the door for China to achieve its objectives to control the world. The recent changes in the Middle East are a prime example where the Saudis are now talking to the Iranians and Assad is now an accepted member of the club again. China basically is now the power in Afghanistan. India is now a friend of Russia - the list goes on.
