RE:Does any one know where my share $$ go?

RE:Does any one know where my share $$ go?Good question Ginger,

Your money goes to the person who sold you the shares.  The shares trade on what is called an exchange.  Someone sells you their shares, in exchange for your cash.  You buys those shares from them.  The day you sell your shares, someone just like you will buy them from you and give you cash in exchange.

The only time money goes to suncor is during an IPO ( initial public offering ).

As a side note, if you read about share buybacks, it may be the case it is actually suncor purchasing shares from you in which case those shares are cancelled, or held in treasury.

I hope this helps clarify.
