Network Policy Control Enables Service Creation Opportunities for Mobile Networks

Sandvine,(TSX:SVC)(AIM:SAND) a leading provider of intelligent broadband networksolutions for fixed and mobile operators, today announced it hascompleted interoperability testing of its Policy Traffic Switch (PTS)with Alcatel Lucent, Intracom Holdings, Redknee, and Tekelec's Policyand Charging Rules Function (PCRF) platforms. In January, Sandvine andOpenet demonstrated operability via a joint customer win. Earlier thisquarter, Sandvine had announced interoperability with BridgewaterSystems' PCRF.

Sandvine's policy enforcement capabilities,combined with these well regarded policy management platforms, areconsistent with Sandvine's support of 3GPP standards-based end-to-endsolutions for operators worldwide. The PCRF's function of provisioningthe subscriber entitlements is complemented by Sandvine's subscriber,application, location, and device awareness for fine granularity policydecisions, actions and reporting.
