Teck Resources Limited is a Canada-based mining company that operates in copper, zinc, steelmaking coal and energy segment. The Company’s operations and projects include Antamina, Cardinal River, Carmen de Andacollo, Elkview, Fording River, Fording River Extension, Fort Hills, Galore Creek Project, Greenhills, Highland Valley Copper, HVC 2040, Line Creek, NewRange Copper Nickel, NuevaUnion, Quebrada Blanca, Quebrada Blanca Phase II, Quintette Project, Red Dog, Sullivan Mine and Trail Operations. RE: RE: RE: RE: Strike getting resolvedNot to worry about the company going broke over the strike.  Just reported 1.5B earnings for 2010 and according to stockhouse, they've only got 8300 employees.  It would take quite an increase in salary and benefits to put much of a dent in that number.  From a mgmt standpoint, they'll let the union pay some wages for a while to whittle down their warchest and get some concessions from workers tiring of not making a decent wage (and tiring of their wives telling them to do this and that and get back to work).  They'll settle in a few weeks max; you can't make 1.5B/year if no one's working.  I suppose the company could be saving some serious fuel charges with the uptick in oil, but likely they've hedged their diesel forward anyway so this is only a  spike for the rest of us.  I picked up some cheap shares this week and only wish I had more cash to do so again.  GLTA.
