Death Spiral

SPCEO1 - The explanation you provided on the institutional seller makes sense, but how many companies have you seen recover?  I hope many.  I have one success story I can point to in a different industry and it took 4 years from the low point like we are seeing today.  I don't have enough experience in BioPharmaceutical, but this looks like a death spiral.  I can think of many companies that never recover from this kind of trading action regardless of their future prospects.  They just lose more and more access to the resources they need to pull it off as investors turn their backs on them.

The stock value and a stable footing for it is the currency a company typically requires and relies upon. In our case what has happened is that all investors big and small are acting on what they see and hear. What they see is a falling share price. What they hear is nothing.

Let’s see to get the SP above $1 should they. A) Put forth the effort to finally engage with retail or B) Just flip the switch on a reverse split and see what happens ;-O This would be a whole lot funnier if my retirement wasn’t at risk here.

It is all about TH-1902. If they get good results, then they have something to work with and could turn it around quite quickly. If not, while not going bankrupt, THTX should become profitable once the cancer R&D costs are cut and the high priced management talent moves on. While the stock might bounce a bit on it being profitable and may move higher slowly as they pay off the debt, the upside ...more

I still believe Marathon has a fiduciary repsonsibility to be a lender first, which means they'll behave like a lender.  They will provide flexibility if they continue to believe in the ability of THTX to cure through cash flow, but probably won't give much room otherwise.  A liquidity covenant is a matter of subjectivity and represents a safety hedge that is in place as a ...more

PWIB123 - it sounds like you have some relevant experience that is, unfortunately, useful at the moment. I would be interested in talking to you personally about what you know. If you are interested, you can find my contact info at our website stewardshippartners.com. I am expecially interested in the lender liability issue and its implications for how Marathon might behave. What do you make of ...more

Ask them if they have to put out shares @ 25 cents
Comment by Trogarzon on Aug 09, 2023 10:15am
Just to remaind people that we stand at 36 cents now.
Comment by Trogarzon on Aug 09, 2023 10:40am
Maybe Paul could waive his salary and make the 20m possible.
Comment by Trogarzon on Aug 09, 2023 11:06am
Anyway they could say something to the fact that everything is fine over there that now one would listen.  So let's wait and pretend they are going out of business.
Comment by PWIB123 on Aug 11, 2023 7:37pm
I will try to call you next week SPCEO1.
Comment by Mannequin on Aug 08, 2023 8:58pm
The concern is really more simple. We are having these conversations because this is a colosal mess. It has nothing to do with some fund or shareholder dumping shars. You are correct SPCEO that costs were likely not cut quick enough. Is that the case? We have no idea. Is there a reason they were not cut quickly as it would have hampered something going on? We have no idea. The trial restart has ...more

@SPCEO  A significant institutional holder like you probably can directly talk to Paul or Dawn, right? Will you call them?
Comment by SPCEO1 on Aug 09, 2023 9:37am
What would you want me to ask them?
Comment by Trogarzon on Aug 09, 2023 9:49am
Tell them to wake up and call buyers to profit from the givaway
Comment by Trogarzon on Aug 09, 2023 9:55am
If they could ink an out licence deal for Th1902.  Maybe the Chinese want to cure cancer first.
Comment by PinnacleX on Aug 09, 2023 12:06pm
How about you tell them to put the company up for sale, no matter what.  That is the only way to save anything thats left.
Comment by jfm1330 on Aug 08, 2023 7:43pm
He company that I know went from 0.15$ to 14$ in a few years, it's name? Theratechnologies. That being said, I am pretty tired of the way things are going there. Levesque was supposed to significantly grow thw sales of the two approved drugs. He dropped the company that was doing that to hire his own salesforce. Where are the results. Selling drugs was supposed to be his primary expertise ...more
