Im in againThis is exactly how i thought this would play out.
Taseko tried to get approval by low-balling the First Nations. They knew beforehand that there was another option in play but had no reason to go straight to the option which would keep Fish Lake. I guess they, and myself included, thought the surrounding communities' support would outweigh the FNs' feeling, and the government would agree and allow Properity to be given the green light. I would have done the same thing as Taseko. Why play your ace when you can win the hand with your Jack and keep the ace.
Now they have to play that Ace, and take a cut in profit to get Prosperity going. IMO, it's a done deal, unless the FN's have something else to complain about. Taseko already has the surrounding communities supporting Prosperity, and I'm sure that this will be enough to get the Govt on board. They may never get the FN's onboard, but this time the Govt will not have a valid reason to reject the proposal.
Taseko says they hope to get this approved soon, since a large chunk of the proposal is unchanged. Im jumping in now since i think Taseko is greatly under-valued, and doesnt give much value to Aley (successful drilling recently), Prosperity (IMO, soon to be approved), and I like what they are doing at Gilbraltor (GDP3 announced Feb 16th). With lots of cash on hand, Taseko is a perfect opportunity.
All IMHO, Good luck to all.
