When they started the exploration program and op pes, I said they would come up short. However, I was o.k. with it as the knowledge would give confidence on the future.
They discovered that both copper hill and dimples are large and rich and so will be able to be used for feed for current mill. They are currently permitted for 70 thousand tpd. The front end of the mill can do more than nameplate. The tail end needs some add ons to match. The plan has always been to enlarge the mill.
With the dimples and copper hill rich ore, my guess is that they will grow the mill to 10 thousand tpd and not rush the op. They will likely apply for larger permit if copper price warrants. India has commisioned a huge smelter and secured several years of ore. My guess is from Africa.
