factories

If I am running a wire or pipe factory I need a decent inventory of copper.

I want 30 days supply. I use a lot of copper, so when copper is balanced as now, I buy the dips until no more dips, Then I move my price up and buy and sell trying to hold price from going higher with a net daily accumulation. I watch for price dips beause of world events or scrap dump and buy extra on those.

If I only use some copper in my factory, I buy on an as needed basis to keep a one week inventory.

So my wire and pipe factory inventory may fall a bit as I try to squeeze some out at 4.60. When I get to 20 days supply, I look at the amount to shake loose at a 20 cent ip bid. I go up to 40 day supply and hope the momentum goes higher where I dump 10 days supply hoping to trigger a gap fill.

My main goal though is to keep my inventory up.

Equities r a much different ball game since there is no neccessity to buy at any time.

Hopefully we can have funds to build flor and gib expansion by this time next year. Then hopefully we can stop the money losing hedge programs that r neccesary at thus point. Imagine if copper spikes to 12.00 ...more

I don't approve of hedging...this is a mine not a hedge fund.
